You’ve had a cheeseburger. You’ve had pie. But have you had cheeseburger pie? This recipe might just be your new favorite, with all the delicious flavors of a cheeseburger in pie form.
• 1 uncooked pie crust (store-bought or prepared)• 1 pound lean ground beef• 1 onion, chopped• 5 slices raw bacon, chopped• 1/3 cup panko bread crumbs• 1 teaspoon yellow mustard• 3 tablespoons barbecue sauce• 1 tablespoon ketchup• 2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce• 1/2 teaspoon black pepper• 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded• 1 egg• 1/2 cup milk
Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F.Step 2
In a skillet, cook the ground beef, onion, and bacon until no pink is left.Step 3
Drain grease well. Remove from stove-top and add bread crumbs, mustard, barbecue, ketchup, Worcestershire sauce, and pepper. Place this mixture in a pre-prepared pie crust.Step 4
Combine cheese, milk, and egg in a small bowl. Spread this mixture over the meat mixture.Step 5
Cover the pie crust edges with foil to prevent over-browning. Bake for 15 minutes before removing the foil. Bake for another 15 minutes.Step 6
